hmmm i had serval times this problem: ableton disabled vsts from time to time which worked for me similar a charm before. you came back from your weekend and it tells me today my CSR Inverted VST isnt compatitble with Live?! i mean why it was working last week.
(just saw the Whole CSR Family is disabled WHY ABLETON?! )

Image

you can just delete everything in your Ableton Binder:
here is my path:

Lawmaking: Select all

                  c:\Users\Lumix\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live eight.2.8\

im on WIN7 x64 SP1

salve your template before and reconfig your ableton and information technology should piece of work again.

reseted everything to default and reconfig everything and the plugin works again - took me fucking 45 mins thank you ableton.

A simpler style : takes 2 seconds

in preferences when yous press the vst rescan button hold downwards your Alt key ... This forces a full rescan of blocked plugins

What if alt doesn't piece of work? I had to disable plugin browse to enter this Splice projection because I don't take Nexus two and I'm pretty sure that's crashing it earlier it can load. Only I tin't enable any of the plugins I do take when I enter the projection. Sylenth1 is still disabled subsequently property alt and pressing rescan.

Post that in the "useful tips" thread considering I typically motion the dll to a sub folder (which scans it) and so back again (which scans it once again). That is a much more sensible fashion.

the "alt-key" method is a safe way to reopen a session, nevertheless information technology will not fix the problem on it's ain, considering you won't be able to employ the plugin within that session. Even once the session is loaded you volition not exist able to rescan the problems inside the session. The just way to reactivate the plugins, is past really restarting Ableton.
Which means yous have to delete a couple plugins, that yous deem likely to cause the problem and hopefully yous haven put too much work in. It'south a hurting, I know, but that works. Because when you save the project with some of the plugins deleted (maybe relieve it as an alternative session, in case you don't instantly delete the plugins causing the problem in conjunction with Ableton), you will usually exist able to close Ableton, reload without pressing the alt-central and voila, you tin can once again piece of work.

Another thing I take noticed, but am not sure wether information technology'due south "just lucky" or non is starting ableton - without instantly loading a session (and so plugins get scanned). Then loading a session, once Ableton is up and running, but belongings the alt-key while it's loading. It has worked wonders on a session that gave me problems.

Information technology has come up to the indicate where I practice just basic sounddesign and Automation in Ableton and all of the heavy lifting in Pro Tools. This is a shame, because I by far prefer Abletons options to automate - it'due south a lot faster and more intuitive. Notation that I am still on version 10 (suite).

After doing the lt re-browse duplicate the track with the disabled plug_in . The new duplicated track will enable the device with all your settings.

Promise this works

Thank yous! :D This was what I needed. Here was my protocol:
1. Open up a bare Ableton project
ii. Disable plugins by going into Preferences and changing the VST2 Plug-In Custom Binder to an empty folder created for this purpose (assigning a random folder to your Custom Plug-In folder may crash Ableton). This allowed me to:
iii. Successfully open up the project with the faulty plugin
four. Reassign the appropriate Custom Plug-In binder in Preferences
five. Highlight all tracks, then indistinguishable (this enabled the disabled plugins)
6. Expect for the faulty plugin - eradicate
seven. Collect All and Salvage
8. Pray yous deleted the correct plugin
